How do engagements work? +
Altros Studios is primarily a game development studio. Web engagements run as fixed-scope contracts — we take on 2–3 per year between game cycles. Each engagement has a defined scope, flat price, ship window, and 2 revision rounds built in.
Do you take hourly or retainer work? +
No monthly retainers. For post-launch work or smaller asks, we sell hourly in 5-hour blocks at $125/hr. Blocks don't expire but must be invoked against a defined task.
What's the payment schedule? +
50% at kickoff, 50% at ship. Invoices via Stripe. Commerce tier includes 30 days of post-launch support; beyond that defaults to hourly blocks.
What if scope changes mid-build? +
Two revision rounds are included on every tier (three on Product). Anything beyond that is hourly. Big scope shifts get priced as a change order against the original contract — no hidden drift.
