Getting started
1. Sign in to your account
Visit /account/login and enter your email — the one you bought with, or the one you claimed your free cycle with. You'll get a magic-link in your inbox. No password to remember, and no license key to keep track of: your license lives on the account, not in an email.
2. Download the Altros Launcher
Go to /account → Downloads and get the Altros Studios Launcher. It's the only way to install Game Demon — there is no separate Game Demon installer to chase. One honest note: our builds aren't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn on first run. Click More info → Run anyway. The SHA-256 hash in the download manifest matches the file you receive, so you can check it.
3. Sign in to the launcher with the same email
Run the launcher installer, then sign in using the same email as your Altros account. Your license attaches itself — paid or trial, it works the same way. There is nothing to paste and nothing to activate by hand.
4. Install Game Demon from the Library
Open the Library, find Game Demon, click Install, then hit Engage to launch it. The launcher hands off your Altros session, so Game Demon opens already signed in, and it binds to your machine on that first launch. From then on the launcher keeps it updated between matches.
5. Open CS2 or Dota 2, play a match
Game Demon detects your game via its public GSI stream. It does not read game memory and does not inject. VAC-safe by design since day one. For Dota 2: open the Dota tab once (the data link installs itself), then restart Dota 2 one time — it reads the link at launch.
Your coach
Game Demon ships one coach, shaped to you. It keeps a standing focus — the one thing you're working on, picked from recurring evidence across your matches — asks a one-time intake interview and quotes your answers back, and builds a measured aim signature from your parsed demos. Everything it believes is readable in the Coach Journal (the WORKING ON card on Home): if a read is wrong, mark it wrong and the coach drops it — your corrections outrank its inference. After each match, the TRUTH-CHECKED badge opens the coach's report card, including any calls it got wrong.
The rooms
Film Room — record your matches and scrub a timeline of every coach call; export any moment as a branded clip, or post it straight to the public Social feed (username set at /account → Settings). The Range — the built-in flick trainer. Match Review (Dota) — full ground truth from a replay file, validated against real match records.
Choose a recording clip
In Recording Room or Film Room, use Set start here and Set end here below the video, or enter the times in seconds. Preview the selection, then export up to three minutes in landscape or vertical 9:16. Show file opens the saved MP4. Attach that file when sharing in Discord; exporting does not upload a video or create a hosted clip link.
Read match statistics
Missing headshot data is marked Not captured. Aim Rating is a separate Leetify metric, not headshot percentage. Trends compare the match you opened with earlier matches using the same rating source. Scoreboard points are excluded from rating comparisons.
Dota shows no live data
Open Dota Setup in Game Demon, then restart Dota. If you have several Steam libraries, the data link must be in the installation you actually launch. Version 1.9.63 configures detected installations and checks the running game. Keep -gamestateintegration in Steam launch options. In a bot match, check that accepted packets increase; if they stay at zero, export the diagnostic while Dota is running.
Settings
Pick your coaching style, adjust overlay position + text scale, configure your post-match Reckoning slot grid, connect Leetify for richer stats. Everything is in the in-app Settings panel.
Cloud connection
Game Demon's coach runs on a secure frontier cloud LLM (current generation at our discretion). An active internet connection is required. There is no local-only mode — see Settings → Cloud Connection & API Status for the live connection check.
Troubleshooting
Coach doesn't fire during matches
Confirm CS2 is launched. Check that Game Demon shows "GSI connected" in the status bar. If not, restart CS2 with Game Demon already running. Also confirm the Cloud Connection panel in Settings shows CONNECTED — coaching cannot run while the cloud proxy is unreachable.
Game Demon isn't in my launcher Library
Almost always the launcher is signed in with a different email than your Altros account. Sign out of the launcher and sign back in with the exact email you used at /account/login — that's what your license is attached to.
Out of cloud tokens
To restore coaching, wait for next month's auto-refresh (Base: 100 tokens; Pro has no monthly cap) or upgrade your tier from /account. On the free cycle you're not out of tokens — if the day's slots are full, your cycle starts automatically the next day.
Need to reinstall on a new machine
Revoke the existing hardware binding from /account, then install the launcher on the new machine and sign in with the same email. Game Demon rebinds on its next launch.
